FARES INFORMATION

This site cannot give details of fares. These can be obtained from the bus operators. However, the following types of ticket are available in Herefordshire: Please check with the operator of your service which ticket types are available.

Single tickets
Valid for one journey from A to B. Cost varies according to distance travelled. Buy from bus drivers.

Day Return tickets
Valid for one journey in each direction between A and B. and offering a discount over the cost of two single tickets. Both journeys must be completed on the day of purchase. May not be available before 0900hrs (Mondays to Fridays) on some services. Only valid on the buses of the issuing company unless stated otherwise in this timetable. Buy from bus drivers.

Day Travel Tickets
Valid for one day‘s unlimited travel on the services of a given bus company or companies. Buy from bus drivers. See separate section for details.

Multi-Journey tickets
Valid for a set number of journeys between any two points on a given bus service at a discount over single fares. Not available on all services. Buy from bus drivers

Season Tickets
Valid for an unlimited number of journeys between any two points on a given bus service. Offers a discount over single or return fares. Buy from bus company offices or agents.

Travel Cards
Valid for an unlimited number of journeys on all services with a given area for a fixed time period. Buy from bus company offices or agents. A photograph is usually required.

CHILDREN
Children under 5 travel free if accompanied by a fare-paying adult. Between the ages of 5 and 15 children travel at a discounted fare, generally between 50% and 75% of the adult rate. The discount varies according to operator and time of day.

CONCESSIONS
Senior citizens and many disabled people can obtain discounted travel with a concessionary buspass issued by Herefordshire Council. Full details are shown in the Concessions section of this introduction.
